On December 10, 2002, Russian duo t.A.T.u. released "200 km/h in the Wrong Lane," the English version of their Russian debut album. "All the Things She Said" was the first single to be lifted from the record. It was the first single by a Russian artist to hit the #1 in the UK Singles Chart and Australia, where it held the position it held for four weeks. The single has received Platinum and Gold certifications all over the world making its physical and digital sales over 4 million copies.
The song was ranked at #452 in Blender magazine's "The 500 Greatest Songs Since You Were Born."
